Mark Binder Celebrates his 40 Year Anniversary at Bug-O Systems!

Mark Binder, Director of International Sales, started his career at Bug-O Systems on 22, July 1974.  At that time he was hired as a machine operator in the Bug-O production plant. Under the mentorship of Charlie E. Six, he learned to work numerous positions within the plant. Mark’s positions included; Machine Operator, Machinist, Product Assembler, Special Projects Builder, Automatic Machine Set-Up & Operation, Shipper/Receive Plant Foreman, Plant Superintendent and then in 1991, Vice President of Manufacturing.  During these years, Mark was often approached by customers and the sales department for new solutions to welding problems. Mark worked to develop many of the machines still offered today. This list includes; Overlay System, Stiffener Welders, Uni-Bug, Trac-Bug, DC-IV and the Go-fer. Mark managed the plant until the fall of 1997 when he moved from Manufacturing to Product Manager – Applications and Special Projects.


Mark’s career at Bug-O continued as he was promoted to Corporate Sales Manager in 1998. As the new Vice President of Engineering 1999-2010, he assisted Herb Cable CEO, in International and Domestic Sales and in 2013 earned the position of Vice President of Operations/International Sales Manager. Mark has traveled the world providing customers with solutions to their fabricating challenges. He is known fondly as “Mr. Bug-O” because of his long history and experience. Internally within the sales department, he is the go to guy. Mark’s contributions continue today in updating and maintaining many product lines including the Modular Drive System and Shape Machines. Mark gives thanks to the Cable family for the opportunities and confidence that has allowed him to help establish the Bug-O Systems name worldwide.
